Policy
The policy includes the following:

Punctuality

Each lesson is 40 minutes long (exceptions include the 50 and 60-minute lessons, which can be arranged with the teacher). The student should arrive 5 minutes before the beginning of his or her lesson. Parents who leave their children for their lessons and return for them afterwards should make every possible effort to pick up their child on time.

Scheduling
Students will be required to pay for one month (4 or 5 lessons) in advance, at the beginning of each month.

Cancellations
If a student needs to cancel a lesson, his or her parents have to inform the teacher at least 24 hours in advance for re-scheduling to be possible. Parents can re-schedule their child's lesson for any time that is convenient for both parties; however, there will be NO REFUNDS for missed lessons on the student's part, except when the lesson is cancelled by the teacher.

Recitals
There are two mandatory recitals during each school year. The Winter Recital is held on the last Friday before the Winter School Recess; the Summer Recital is scheduled for the last Friday before the end of school year. Being excused from a recital is only possible due to illness or a family emergency. At the end of the Summer Recital, each student receives a diploma, which certifies the completion of his or her appropriate level. After each recital Tania, Kosta,  and the students' parents organize a party for the students and their families.

Concert for Advanced Students
Every October, a more difficult concert for students Level 2 and higher is held. All participants are required to have a piano for practicing at home (digital is acceptable as well). Playing by memory is mandatory.

Spring Charity Concert
Every year in April, a very enjoyable concert for young students is organized. Music is combined with poetry and short stories which students perform to the audience. Preparation for this concert takes longer time and students are required to rehearse as a group.

"My Song" Art Competition
The goal of this competition is to provoke children's imagination of finding a link between music and visual art expression. Students who are interested in participating work on their art ideas during the Fall semester. They can discuss with their teachers what piece of music to choose, its character, and how to project it as a visual art form. Winners of the Art Competition and the prices are annonced  each year on our Winter Recital. For more information see: "News and Events".
