Tania’s Professional Biography
Tania Haralampiev was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She studied in the Music High Scholl of her hometown in the piano class of Velislava Mollova.
In 1988, Ms.Haralampiev graduated from the Academy of Music and Art in Plovdiv with a Master’s Degree in piano pedagogy in the class of Dr. George Petrov.
From 1990 to 1996 she worked in the Silesian Opera Theater in the town of Opava, the Czech Republic.
In September of 1996 she began working as a piano teacher in the Arts School in the town of Odry, and from 2002, she also taught at the Arts School in the town of Fulnek.
Tania’s students have been awarded first places in regional piano competitions. Of these, the highest achievement is of her student Jan Juran, who in 2002 won the 1st place and the Jury’s Special Award in the Regional competition in the city of Ostrava. Jan gained these honors for his performance of Toccata in E flat Minor by A. Chachaturyan.
In 2005, Tania moved with her family to the United States. Here she started teaching piano privately in 2006. Her class includes children from various nationalities and cultures, ages 3 to 21, and she also teaches a class for adults. Since she started teaching, her students participated in numerous concerts organized by their communities. Tania also organized charity concerts with her students for "Jump Start" program in Dorchester and a Spring concert for young children at Morrill Memorial Library in Norwood. Her students, Stephanie (Hongyu) Lin and Julie (Honguyue) Lin, are winners of Foxboro Music Association Young Division Competition. Stephanie won the competition in 2009, competing with 70 other students of her age. Julie was the winner for 2011, competing with 78 competitors. Tania's student, Roger Walters from Hyde Park, got a scholarship from Berklee College of Music and was accepted in its Preparatory School.
In her work, Tania combines the piano teaching methods of Bastien, Alfred, Faber, Fletcher, Thompson, the Royal System, Nikolaev, Bayer, and others. Tania includes classical music, jazz, and ethno music in her lessons, according to the student’s interests and preferences. The lessons also introduce students to basic music theory and place particular emphasis on the understanding of music as a process of mental growth, on the cultivation of good taste and emotional attitude toward music, and on the understanding of the various musical styles.

Kosta’s Professional Biography
Kosta Haralampiev is a voice teacher with about twenty years of experience as a singer and a vocal instructor. He graduated from The Academy of Music and Art in Plovdiv, Bulgaria with a Master’s degree in Music Education and Performance. Kosta enriched his vocal education through participating in a summer workshop in the Hoch Schule fur Music in Weimar, Germany, studying Mozart repertoire with Professor Peter Schreier.
He worked as an opera singer in the Silesian Opera Theater in the Czech Republic for six years. Recently Kosta graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston where he extended his vocal skills studying jazz, and pop- vocal technique, and repertoire with Joey Blake, Dona MacElroy, Lisa Thorson and Gwendolyn Leader.
Kosta’s voice teaching covers many styles of the classical vocal repertoire and of the contemporary entertainment vocal music. His rich teaching experience allows him to teach students of all levels and ages.
In addition Kosta taught piano, keyboard, guitar and recorder for seven years at the Arts School in the town of Odry, the Czech Republic. His American teaching experience was enriched with his work as a piano and voice instructor at Hyde Square Task Force in Jamaica Plain, Area IV Youth Center in Cambridge, and at Pete Pidgeon Music School, Boston. Presently, Kosta is conducting the MS chorus at Rivers School, Weston, MA, and he is teaching piano, guitar, voice and recorder at Happy Music studio in Wayland, MA.
